EasyProject is the perfect companion for MS-Project but can also be used as stand alone planning tool. MS-Project limit itself to project presentaion/project planning and have not tried to handle the project follow up process in a serious way. Easyproject take the "ball" where Mircrosoft let it slip away and let the projects alone without any methode of following up the project. Evaluate/audit of MS-Project plans

EasyProject have functionality for importing existing MS-Project plans and create a earned value analyse from the plan. This methode is usefull tool to evaluate the actual status og the project and how good the plan is.

Critical line

In addition to the original critical line (calulated in MS-Project and used by Easyproject), a "Dependent milestone" critical line is available. This give you the possibility to select which milestone the critical line should be calculated against, because the end date of the project is not always the monst interesting date to plan against.

The pyramid of planning

EasyProject have it's natural use from level 1 to level 3, but can easly be integrated with external documents systems with the capability to do documents planning on level 5.
