Cloud vs. Server subscription vs. Server perpetual – How do they work?

The cloud solution is hosted on Easy Software Ltd. servers across 20+ global locations. View our cloud locations on the map. This option gives you the right to use the software in the cloud for your subscription period, including all software updates.

The cloud solution includes software updates for the whole hosted period.

Server subscription (on-premises)

The server subscription solution is hosted on your own servers, giving you full control over the software. With this option, you rent the software for a defined period. The subscription includes software updates and technical support during the entire subscription period. 

Once the subscription ends, the software can no longer be used, and you are required to uninstall it.

Server perpetual (on-premises)

The server perpetual solution is also hosted on your own servers, giving you full control over the software. With this option, you purchase the software license together with updates and support for a minimum of one year. 

After the update and support subscription ends, you can continue using the software indefinitely. However, you will no longer receive updates or technical support, and some features may become limited.
